Former Church Security Was Arrested for Stealing Church Offering Box in Ogun State

 The men of Ogun state police command have arrested Mela Samaila, a former security guard at Grace National Church for allegedly break into auditorium and stealing the offering box with an undisclosed amount of money.

Spoke man of the state police command DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspect was arrested following the distress call received by the police at ojogu Abiodun Divisional headquarter from security men on duty at the church about 4am that the thief scaled the fence of the church break into the main auditorium and made away the church offering box.

Oyeyemi said upon the distress call,  DPO ojodu Abiodun division, CSP Eyitayo Akinlowade quickly mobilize his patrol team to the scene, combed the area and succeeded in arresting the suspect with the help of the security men of the church and the offering box was recovered from him.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect was once a security man in the church, but was relieved of duty due to some unwanted behavior.

He added that the state commissioner of police CP Edward A Ajogun has directed that the suspect will be charged to court with out delay as soon as the investigation is conducted.
