Man Was Prisoned Over Facebook post Against Governor of Jigawa State
Shamo- wrote false information against Governor Badaru Abubakar. NEWS BY:- Raymond The Chief magistrate court sitting in Dutse, Jigawa state has sentence one shabi'u Ibrahim chamo, picture in left, to prison for Datamation of character to the State Governor ' Badaru Abubakar.' Shamo was first arrested on Christmas eve December 24 and detained before he was charged to court for failure to substantiate the allegations he made on Facebook. He had alleged that the Governor have duped many APC aspirants by collecting their money to give them party tickets. During the trial after his first information was read to him, Shamo pleaded guilty to the charge and the court sentence him to six months in prison with the option of payment of 20,000 fine and 20 strokes of cane to serve as a deterrent to others.
