 Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina has started that the Buhari led administration has never clamped down on media. Appearing on arise TV, the morning show on Monday February 1, Adesina Countered allegations on government shorten down an online news platform, people Gazette. He further describe the online news platform as a paper that lies every day, he claimed that it has told lies against him and others several people. Adesina said; "This government never clamped down media, it has never done and it will never be done. The government will never temper with the independence of media and freedom of press. General Marwa  President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed former Military administrator for Lagos and Borno state, Gen, Muhammad Buba Marwa as the new Chairman/CEO  of the national drug law enforcement agency NDLEA. Before his recent appointment, the close ally of the President had worked assiduously as chairman of presidential advisory committee for elimination of drug abuse PACEDA between 2018, and December 2020 along with others to developed blue print on how to end drug abuse in Nigeria. The nation reported that Senior special assistant to President on media and publicity, Mallam Garbage Shehu confirmed the appointment while responding to a media enquiry on Saturday 16 January.   " it is true" the President has approved General Marwa as the new NDLEA chairman.
