Oyo State Traffic Management Arrested Woman For Allegedly Assaulted Traffic Officer


A major crisis averted on Wednesday morning January 20 in Ibadan when a woman identify as Aramide Smoke allegedly assaulted an Oyo state traffic management agency OYRTMA Officer.

The incidents happened at about 8 at the Oluyola Estate axis of Ibadan, South West local government area, while the officer was on active and legitimate duty in the area.

According to Eyewitness Mrs Aramide was driving on one way and against traffic when the officer stop her vehicle.

In the process, she allegedly slapped the officer repeatedly and other motorists, passerby, commercial motorcyclist and eye witnesses who were apparently angry and displeased at her actions gathered in an attempt to mob her and raze the vehicle involved.

The vehicle was impounded and taken along with the assaulted to the OYRTMA headquarter pending to the time she will be charged to court for assault and deliberately breach of the Oyo state traffic management authority law 2009.
