Saudi Arabia Announced the Reopening of Border

 Saudi Arabia was on Sunday announced the reopening of border and the resumption of international flight after two weeks suspension aimed to stem the spread of new coronavirus strains.

The government order a lifting of precautionary measures related to spread of the new variant of coronavirus, the ministry of the interior said, according to the official Saudi press agency.

Saudi Arabia has recorded more than 363,000 cases including 6,200 death and the highest among the gulf Arab States but has also reported a high recovery rate.

Reyadh suspended international flight and access through land crossing and port on December 21.

Other Gulf countries Oman and Kuwait who had taken similar measure have also lifted them in recent days.

But traveler returning from Britain, South Africa, or any country were the new variant of new coronavirus is spreading are subject to more restrictions.

Foreigners coming from those country must spend 14 days in another country before entering Saudi Arabia and show a negative test.

Saudi national returning to those country will be able to enter directly but most of them spend two weeks in quarantine on arrival, be subject to test.

Last month Saudi Arabia was one of the first Gulf countries to launch a massive vaccination campaign using the Pfizer bioNtech jab.
