FRSC Two Officials Arraigned in Court Over Extortion Motorist


 The independent corrupt practice and other related offence and other related offence ICPC has arraigned two official of the federal road safety corps  FRSC over alleged extortion of motorists and gratification.

In a two court charges brought before the honorable Justice H Aprioku of river state high Court 11 sitting in port Harcourt ICPC told the court how the duo, john Asegu and Otom Asueni, forcefully collected various sum money of 3,500 from the motorist as a 'fee' to let the motorist pass the checkpoint as along port Harcourt Ahoada express way even with out changed for any traffic offence.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty 2 court count charges and the trial judge granted them bail, because they are inability to meet up with the bail conditions. They are remanded in custody correctional services.

The case was subsequently adjourned to on 26 of March 2021, for commencement trail.
